Hailey Bieber Finally Addresses “Stealing” Her Husband From Selena Gomez

The most talked-about love triangle in the showbiz world over the last decade might just have been between singer Justin Bieber, fellow ex-tween idol Selena Gomez, and model Hailey Baldwin. But was there really ever a love triangle at all? Well, now the woman who made it down the aisle with the Canadian pop idol has finally spoken out about all the tabloid-baiting drama.
First introduction
Justin and Hailey first met behind the scenes of the Today show in November 2009 when the former was beginning his rise to superstardom and the latter was aged just 12. The introduction had been arranged by their respective parents Pattie Mallette and Stephen Baldwin, who were already friends. According to Vogue magazine, Hailey suddenly came over all shy when she finally came face-to-face with the pin-up.
Not a Belieber
But Hailey later told the same publication that she didn’t class herself as a Belieber. The model said, “I was never a superfan, of him or of anyone. It was never that crazed, screaming thing. I didn’t think about it in any kind of way except for the fact that he was cute. Everybody had a crush on him. But for the first few years we had a weird age gap.”
Team Jelena
In fact, Hailey appeared to root for the Canadian and his celebrity girlfriend at the time. She once tweeted, “I don’t care what anyone says, but Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez together is the definition of a teenage dream!” Hailey later took to the same social media platform to confirm that she was a committed member of ‘Team Jelena.’
Church service
But tongues started wagging in 2014 when Justin and Hailey were spotted at a church service together. The “Love Yourself” singer was quick to deny the rumors, captioning an Instagram snap of the pair, “People are crazy. I’m super-single and this is my good friend. You would know otherwise.” Justin and Selena famously had an on/off relationship, which explains why the former had declared himself as single.
